Installing a fire shutter in Nanshan, Shenzhen, requires proper site preparation. Here's what to check before the installation team arrives.
Site Requirements
The opening must be structurally sound — brick, concrete, or steel frame, capable of supporting the door weight plus dynamic loads. Opening dimensions should match what was specified. The area around the opening should be clear of scaffolding, stored materials, or debris.
Power must be available. You need 380V three-phase power near the installation point, with a suitable breaker. If only 220V single-phase is available, inform the manufacturer beforehand so they can spec the right motor.
The floor at the opening should be level. If it's uneven, the bottom beam won't seal properly. Floor finishing should be complete before the door goes in. For ceiling-mounted installations, confirm the ceiling structure can bear the load. Some commercial ceilings can't hold a fire shutter assembly and may need additional steel supports.
Wiring Method
The fire shutter needs several electrical connections. Power wiring goes from the distribution panel to the control box — use 2.5 to 4 square millimeter wire for the motor circuit. Signal wiring connects the control box to the fire alarm system — use shielded cable, typically 1.0 to 1.5 square millimeters. Manual control button wiring runs from the control box to button positions on both sides of the door.
All wiring should be in metal or PVC conduit, properly supported. Junction boxes should be accessible. The ground connection must be solid.
Final Testing
After wiring, test before the inspection. Run the door through all functions. Check the fire alarm interface. Confirm the battery backup works. Once everything checks out, the installation can be signed off. For fire shutter installation in Shenzhen Nanshan, contact Heruihua at 18926001238.
