Having been in the rolling door business for a while, here is what was visible in the market during 2019.
Rising Demand
Demand was definitely going up. More clients across retail, industrial, and garage sectors were switching to electric rolling doors. A few years back, many people thought a manual door was fine. Now, new construction almost always specifies electric, and models with remote controls and sensors are what people really want.
Changing Distribution Channels
It used to be that customers came to the factory or visited building materials markets. Now they search online, ask for quotes on messaging apps, then have the company come out for measurements. Referrals from existing clients have become a solid chunk of business. Do good work, follow up on after-sales, and word gets around.
Higher Product Expectations
Customer expectations are way higher than before. It's not just about price anymore. Noise level, sealing, motor durability — these things matter. Aluminum alloy profiles, transparent crystal doors, high-speed doors with wind bars: these mid-to-high-end products are shipping in noticeably higher volumes.
Service as a Differentiator
Free on-site measurement, regular check-ins during the warranty period, on-call repairs — these are basically standard now. If your service slips, the customer won't come back. Product quality is the foundation in this industry, but service is what keeps you in the game long term.
