Crystal rolling doors look great. Clean, transparent, modern. But like any door, things can go wrong. Here are the common issues and fixes, from the Heruihua maintenance team.
1. Door Won't Open or Close
Check if there's power first. Sounds basic, but you'd be surprised. Check the circuit breaker, the plug, the wiring. Then check the remote battery. If the remote's LED is dim or not lighting, swap the battery. Also, check whether the manual lock is engaged. If it is, the motor won't turn.
2. Motor Runs but Door Doesn't Move
This usually means the chain or belt connecting the motor to the shaft has slipped or broken. Pop open the housing and take a look. If the chain is loose, tighten the tensioner. If it's broken, you need a new one.
3. Noisy Operation
Dirt and grit in the tracks is the most common cause. Clean the tracks thoroughly. Then lubricate the rollers, hinges, and moving parts with silicone spray. Don't use WD-40 on the crystal panels themselves — it can cloud the polycarbonate.
4. Door Stops Mid-Way or Reverses
Check the photo-eye safety sensors at the bottom. If they're misaligned or dirty, the door thinks something is in the way. Clean the lenses and realign them. Also check the track for obstructions.
5. Remote Range Is Too Short
The antenna wire on the receiver might be tucked behind metal, which blocks signal. Pull the wire out and let it hang straight. Or the receiver itself is in a bad spot. Move it closer to where you use the remote.
6. Door Closes, Then Immediately Reopens
The down-limit switch probably needs adjustment. If it's set too low, the door hits the ground, senses resistance, and reverses as a safety measure. Adjust the limit switch so the door stops just at ground level.
7. Manual Operation Is Stiff
If pulling the chain to open manually is hard, the spring tension might be off. The torsion spring above the shaft needs adjustment. This one is best left to a professional. Messing with torsion springs can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.
