Electric rolling shutters are common on storefronts and shops. They're made of interlocking slats that roll up and down around a shaft above the door. Here's the installation process used in the field.
Installation Steps
- Site survey. An engineer comes out for a free site survey. They confirm the measurements, installation method, and any special requirements with the client.
- Tool and material preparation. The delivery team brings the door to the site with the installation crew. Welding machine, hammer drill, hand drill, ladder, drill bits, cutting head, spirit level, and screwdrivers are all gathered.
- Marking layout lines. Mark a horizontal line 50cm above the side panel opening. Then a vertical line 13cm from the opening using a level, and another vertical line 9cm from the auxiliary panel on the door frame.
- Motor and remote setup. Mount the motor on the main plate, connect the chain between the wheel disc and motor base, and link the remote control box to the motor. Check whether the handle direction is correct.
- Welding and curtain installation. Confirm dimensions, weld the shaft securely, drill vertical holes for storage, then use bolts to lift the curtain into place. Adjust the door to level.
- Final testing. Power up and run the door up and down using the switch, confirming no malfunctions. Verify the track is smooth and clean, and that buttons respond correctly.
