The crystal shutter is the most fashion-forward, liked see-through door in malls. But with the hot market, low-quality ones appeared and hurt normal ops. How to pick a good one?
- Check the certificate. The shutter must have a test report from a legal body and a security product license from the local public security authority’s technical department.
- Check the security grade. Crystal shutters rank A, B, C. C is highest, B next, A lowest; the market is mostly A, for ordinary homes. A requires: all-steel, flat, fully closed; resists abnormal opening with common manual and portable electric tools for at least 15 minutes at the weakest point, or no hole over 615 sq cm cut through the door.
- Check the lock. A good crystal shutter uses a three-way or five-way lock, locking not just the lock but the upper and lower rails too, fixing the door. Most frames have a rubber seal so closing makes no harsh metal clang.
- Check the material. Common now: stainless, for looks, durability, and corrosion resistance. Two notes: a. branded stainless electric shutters in 302 and 304 are popular; b. the steel plate should be at least 2 cm thick, front and back plates 0.8 to 1 cm, with a skeleton and stiffeners inside.
- Check the work. Watch for open, false, or missed welds. See if the leaf and frame joints are tight, gaps even, opening elastic, paint even, firm, smooth.
- The motor and remote brand and config also matter.
